How Invitations and Team Access Work
Feb 24, 2026
On AIRTA Systems, you don't browse a public list of programs and click "join." Access to AI safety testing programs is invite-based and team-based. This guide explains how that works and what to do so you can start testing.
Why teams?
Companies invite teams to test their AI systems, not individual testers. Teams coordinate testing, share context, and build a collective reputation. When a company chooses a team, every member of that team gets access to the programs the team is invited to.
How you get access to programs
- Create an account as an AI Safety Researcher (tester) and complete vetting. You must be approved before you can participate.
- Join a team or create one. If you don't have a team yet, join an existing team (e.g. from the teams directory) or create your own. You need to be in a team to receive program invitations.
- Companies invite teams. Program owners (companies) decide which teams to invite to which programs. They may consider reputation, skills, and availability.
- See your programs. When your team is invited to a program, that program appears on your AI Safety Testing Programs page. You only see programs your team has been invited to-there is no public "browse all" list to join from.
Where to see programs
Go to AI Safety Testing Programs. If your team has been invited to any programs, they're listed there. If the list is empty, your team hasn't been invited yet. Complete your profile, get vetted, and make sure you're in a team; companies invite teams through the platform, and more activity and reputation help.
What to do while waiting for invites
- Complete your profile and vetting so you're eligible.
- Join or create a team so you can receive invitations.
- Use the Academy to learn testing techniques and report writing.
- Build reputation when you do get access-validated findings help your team get invited to more and premium programs.
Summary
Access = vetting + team membership + company invitation. Your AI Safety Testing Programs page shows only the programs your team has been invited to. No browsing or self-joining; invitations are how you get access.
